Electronic Issues of the Nova Scotia Genealogist - NSG
Starting in 2013, GANS ceased production and distribution of printed versions of the NSG. The electronic format is published with substantially the same content as the former printed version, with a few exceptions. Information that can also be found permanently on the website, such as the list of publications, the list of institutions with genealogical holdings and the contributors' guidelines have been removed. More colour has been added and there may also be some small items added that were not in the printed issues. The design is basically the same. Many of the older issues are available online curtesy of FindMyPast and scanned by the Allen County Library in several combined volumes and extracted into individual issues by the 2017 editor of the NSG, Glenn MacKenzie.
If you are not currently receiving the NSG, why not take a peek at a sample issue? A subscription is included with your annual membership. Comments and suggestions can be sent to email@example.com.
The digital versions of the NSG are available for download to GANS Members only.
A variety of printed back issues of the NSG are available and may be ordered for the price of $10.00 each. Please contact GANS at:
